FHE

Last night, the kids and I had dinner and FHE with Bishop Jones and his family.  We all visited for a while, ate a great healthy dinner and then had FHE.

What is FHE?  Family Home Evening.  Every Monday, most families in the LDS church have a FHE.  It is a way for the family to come together to learn more about our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.  FHE starts with a song, then opening prayer.  A lesson is given and then a game is usually played. Ending FHE is with a good dessert.

Last night's FHE was about judging/pre-judging people.  We read from the book of Matthew, played 'Family Charades and had brownies for dessert.  I think the kids liked the game the best.  Actually the game was incorporated into the lesson.  Fun all around.

When we left, I asked the kids if they had a great time.  They both said yes until we had to leave.

Glad to know that we are making some good friends and memories with our ward :)
