Farewell February

For the shortest month of the year, February sure felt like the longest. A lot was going on with work and because of that, blogging was put on the back burner for while.
Here is a look back on the last 28 days...

Nick and Sam had 3 weeks of lessons this month and 1 week off for a much needed break.
Scott has been doing the grocery shopping, laundry and other fun house hold chores.  He has also been working on my vehicle.  It needs a new engine, which we already have, and Scott will be changing it out.
I have been busy with work.  Or I should say...work has been busy since mid-January to about a couple of days ago.  A lot of negativity at work and it has been stressful and frustrating to say the least.

We have had a few good snow storms during February  and the kids have had a blast playing in the snow.   The more moisture we get, the better our well will be during the summer months.

What to look forward to in March?

Starting planning our garden - build raised beds
Decide how many laying hens we will get
Design a chicken coop
My vehicle running in good condition
Prepare for Easter and visitors

Farewell February

  1. Sorry about the negativity at work.

Ooooh- I can't wait to hear more about your chicken coop and chickens. We are really really hoping to build a coop and get some this year. Maybe this summer? It's a big goal of ours.

  2. We are planning on getting 6 laying hens and will either order them soon or get some that are a bit older. Besides having fresh eggs, chickens are also good for getting rid of ticks...which we have a lot during the late spring and summer months.
