Wrap-up Week 5

This week we had a guest, a holiday, a field trip and a little bit of lessons:

MATH:  Nickolas worked on his regular addition, subtraction and multiplication problems.  He also took Test 10 and did a great job.  Samantha worked on her addition and subtraction and was introduced to the 100's place.

COPY WORK:  Both Nick and Sam are still doing great and will continue to do this activity daily.

READING:  Reading selections were a bit off this week due to our guest and field trip.

This week we skipped our Language Arts through Literature and will resume next week.

DELIGHT DIRECTED:  Nick continued to draw, play with legos, computer time and play.  Sam designed and hand sewed a couple of aprons, knitted a bit and colored.

Our guest this week was Uncle Paul.  He came from Maine to spend the 4th of July weekend and holiday with us.  The kids had a great time visiting and going on a field trip with him.  On Monday we all went to Alton, NH to see part of Lake Winnipisaukie (yes, I more than likely spelled it wrong) and on Tuesday, Uncle Paul, Scott, Nick and Sam went to the Montshire Museum of Science for a field trip.

Today, Scott had the kids watch the following video live to see history in the making:

So glad that Scott thought of this.  Thank you NASA!!!  It has been an incredible 30 years of watching you blast off into space.
